This beautiful home reflects the era of the class borgeois. The entry hall was once the corridor for horses belonging to Napoleon III’s General Beaupuy as these apartments were initially part of his manor. The charming black and white tiles lead to a stairway and the four bedrooms above or the terrace, swimming pool and 800m2 garden in the back.

To the right of the corridor is the large living space with the authentic parquet floors, crown molding on the ceiling and surrounding walls and above the large opening which leads to the kitchen and dining area. Continuing up the stairs, there is another landing and two more bedrooms. These upper bedrooms and landing are webbed by the ancient beams. The effect is magical. Upon returning to the ground floor, the corridor leads to an independent one bedroom apartment. There is a shower room connected to the bedroom. The kitchen is small but well equipped. It is the walls of this space which are most remarkable. A brick colombage separates the bedroom from the living area. This could be used as a gîte, chambre d’hôte or guest apartment.

The whole assemble is located in the centre of the city. There is a Saturday Market, pharmacies, banks, post office all within walking distance.

The train station is just around the corner and Bordeaux is one hour away. There are grocery stores within 5 minutes. The city is situated between Bergerac (30 minutes) and Perigueux (40 minutes).

There are many prehistoric sites, namely, Lascaux Caves within an hour drive. The A 89 is 5 minutes away.
