Just over the Montagne Noire, the landscape changes dramatically to become the classic Mediterranean 'maquis' of scrub and dry brush as the mountains roll down to the sea.
The town is perfectly located for easy access to a range of attractions, with train and bus links to larger local towns and to Toulouse for city life. Mountain and valley walks, bike rides, lakes and outdoor activities abound.
