About my area

I live in a small village close to Uzès with the famous market in the Gard department placed between Nimes (29 km) and Avignon (38 km), 72 km from Montpellier and 15 minutes from Pont du Gard. It is an ideally situated area for many activities like cycling, hiking, kayaking or horse riding. During the year there are many culture events from famous theatre festival in Avignon, amazing concerts in les Arènes in Nimes to many other local festivals like the Chickpea festival in Montaren. Nearby are many vineyards, lavender fields, olive groves and secret truffle places. This area is easy to access by plane with cheap flights from London Luton or by TGV and Eurostar trains, close to the motorway A9 and A7.

About me

After living in Auckland (NZ) and Prague (CZ) working in the wine industry and the attorney office I decided with my family for a “sea change” and we moved to the sunny countryside in the south of France. Now we have fresh eggs from our chooks every day and live within a reasonable distance from the Mediterranean sea and the mountains, surrounded by Roman history, vineyards and the smell of fresh croissants. It`s great to discover new cultures and cuisines and meet some new people. It would be my pleasure to help other people to find their own special place here.
