The property is less than 2 km from the centre of La Motte Servolex, which provides all the expected facilaties of a provincial town. Chambéry is 6 km away and is the principal town for the Department of Savoie as well as being the historic, former capital of the State of Savoie. As such, it has all the adminstrative offices for the area as well as a notable touristic, old centre, well-known for its alternative shops, bars and restaurants.
Chambery is well situated for transport being at the crossroads of the motorway network (A43, Lyon-Albertville and A41, Grenoble-Geneva), with a TGV station in its centre and an airport on the road to Aix-les-Bains, which has some notable international connections (9 km).
The property is 100 km from central Lyon (1hr 20min on A43) and 85 km from central Geneva (1hr 5min on A41). The airports of these two cities are even closer.
The area is renoun for outdoor activities - in the mountains of the Bauges and the Chartreuse (hiking, cycling, family skiing, etc) and on the lakes of Lac du Bourget and Lac d'Aiguebelette (sailing, water skiing, kayak, rowing, paddleboarding, etc).
