About my area

Since moving to Saulgond in 2005 I have truly managed to fall heart and soul in love with the French way of life and all that it has to offer. This little corner of France, nestled in the crook of the Vienne river, is perfect for us living here as a family with my mother, son, partner our horses and dogs allowing us to fully enjoy the rural aspects that the Charente has to offer. We are near to the medieval town of Confolens, picturesque St Junien and the friendly market town of Chabanais which spans the River Vienne. As a family we are able to enjoy the warm lakes with their beaches in the summer months and the mountains aren't too far away to drive and enjoy some winter skiing when the nights draw in. The larger cities of Limoges to the east, Poiters to the north and Angouleme to the West are all well placed to us here and provide us with convenient transport links to Paris and the UK by either the TGV or regular daily flights. The thing about this area as most of my friends say: "once you have been you don't forget it, and if you are lucky enough you get to stay."

About me

I have been an agent commercial with Leggett Immobilier since 2012, which has enabled me to meet a great mix of International clients hoping to buy property in our wonderful area of the Charente. Both the French and British in the area mix well here and there is a great sense of community which is an important part of our daily family life.
