Department 22 – Côtes d’Armor is located in Brittany at the western tip of France. It has a little bit of everything, offering little gems of towns and villages, plus rugged and breathtaking coastline, rolling fields, woodland and many pretty lakes. This is a truly beautiful place. Despite its wonderful location the Côtes-d’Armor is still one of the most affordable areas in France. In addition, it is easy to reach as there are multiple ferry crossings, aeroplane rides and the roads are (almost) never congested. The Breton people are warm and friendly and as you might expect in France the food and drink are exceptional. The area has a wide range of property to choose from and can suit almost any taste, from those wishing to own a holiday home or to escape from it all and settle down in Brittany. Côtes d’Armor can provide cottages, longères, neo-breton homes, maison de maitres and chateaux. Whether you are looking for an investment property, a business opportunity or a family home this Department has it all.
We’ve had a varied working life with extensive experience in both the private- and public-sectors; Steve having spent 11 years in advertising and marketing and 13 years as a Civil Servant, in addition to running two small businesses. Gill is an accredited psychological counsellor who worked with both private clients and within the NHS before taking on the role of pharmaceutical sales representative. Having crammed all this into our life so far and with the kids grown up and making their own way in the world, we felt it time to take a step back and reassess life in general, hence the decision to sell-up and make the move to Brittany. And what a great move it’s turned out to be. We have a beautiful house and some land in the heart of the Côtes d’Armor and the best bit about it is that we have genuine peace, quiet and time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Having only recently made the move ourselves, we are ideally placed to help you find your little piece of Brittany countryside and to assist you when navigating through the French buying system.View Brittany Information Homepage
