About my area

I am lucky enough to live and work in one of the most beautiful areas of France. The Charente Why the Charente? The answer is simple. With its beautiful rolling countryside, filled with sunflowers in the summer months, you cannot help but smile when you see them. The Charente style houses built in sandstone that turns golden in the evening sun. The terracotta roof tiles which tells you it is a warm climate. This is an area with a simple culture which embraces the enjoyment of family and friends. It is an area ideally situated. Skiing just 4 hours away, the beach 1 hour, excellent rail, road and airport links. Angouleme 20 minutes and Bordeaux just over an hour.

About me

After spending many holidays in France we moved to the Charente in 2003, my children were 2, 7 and 9. We wanted a new adventure, the opportunity to sample another culture and to offer our children the chance of being bi-lingual. We sold up in the UK and have made a new life in France. We had renovated 2 houses in the UK and our plan was to find a property to renovate which would be our family home and which would generate an income as well. We ended up with a very successful gite business. My love, knowledge and experience of living and working in this beautiful area of France along with my interest of property and renovation motivated me to become an agent for Leggett Immobiliér. I look forward to helping you with your property search.
