About my area

Ideally set at one hour driving from Bordeaux, and 40 mn from Angoulême and Périgueux, I live at the crossroads of the three departments: Dordogne, Charente and Gironde, in the small village of Saint-Aulaye. A lovely, charming place, with all amenities, and well-know for its beautiful beach on the river Dronne, magnificent town hall established in a former renaissance castle, and a whole bunch of summer activities (festivals, canoeing, horse riding, etc...). Not to forget that the biggest forest in France, la Double, just starts where the village ends. It is situated in the Périgord vert, in the marvellous rolling countryside, between Ribérac and Chalais, but also only few of miles from Aubeterre, listed as one of the most beautiful village of France. The gorgeous nature, the beautifully preserved fauna, the fine gastronomy, and the sweet climate will enchant anyone passing through this region of France, and as the most of us, will en-gage anyone to stay for good. Where stress becomes a vague souvenir, and the nature takes over...

About me

Born in Paris, but willing to escape the frenzy of a big city, I've chosen to explore my neighbour countries.This journey brought me to stay and live in the beautiful city of Antwerp in Belgium, well-know for its international harbour, but also world's main city for the diamond industry. As I've been working for the past 30 years with people from all over the world. Therefore, I am perfectly fluent in Dutch, English, Italian, Spanish...and a bit of German as well. A couple of years ago, I started to feel nostalgic about France, and especially, the remembrance of the beautiful holidays spent with the family in the Périgord, as a child. So, Dordogne was then an obvious, natural choice !
