Beautifully restored Chateau where an enormous amount of care has been taken to retain the charm, heritage and majesty of the original 650 year old chateau. To the front of the chateau, after the entering down the private driveway and over the moat, are the private formal gardens and lawns to the front of of the chateau and outbuildings.
The chateau is comprised of 2 interlinked towers on 5 floors with each of the floors having been fully renovated to retain the original character of the property. Each of the major rooms on each of the floors is characterised by high, ceilings, large stone fire places and traditional terracotta floors with each of the rooms extremely generous in size. . Each of the floors is linked by the traditional slate stairs. From the very top are the ramparts which which you can oversee the surrounding Mayenne countryside.

The chateau and its outbuildings are completely private the chateau surrounded by the moat beyond which are the woodlands and areas of pasture. Reputedly built as a defensive outlook overlooking the Anjou-Brittany borders this 13th century tower is regarded as the 3rd oldest property in the Mayenne. The original tower was built in the 13th century (as the watchtower) with access to the internal floors with ladders. It was not until the addition of the second tower in the 17th century that the large internal rooms were created and the stunning stairs installed thereafter becoming part of a large farming estate. For the last 30+ years the property has undergone a massive renovation project with great efforts made to retain and restore the towers to the original condition and configuration leading to the property being granted the status of an historic monument in 1987.
Located in the small village of La Boissiere in the South of the Mayenne this is close to the cities of Laval, Angers and Rennes and the local towns of Renaze and Segré.
