Nearby, La Salvetat-sur-Agout is a land of water, lakes, forests and pastures, all set within a mid-mountain landscape on the Plateau des Lacs. Lake La Raviège is an artificial lake covering 438 hectares and stretching 12 kilometres in length. This hydroelectric reservoir was filled in 1957.
