Back in the house, up the main stair are the study, large dressing room and main bedroom with its marble fireplace. Above this, the super main bathroom, with corner bath, shower and two washbasins, and the friends' bedroom. All face south onto the garden.

and is 1.8 km from a lovely restaurant at Roquefère, 7 km from the chateaux, cafés, bakery and restaurants at Lastours, 13 km from the nearest hypermarket at Aussillon, and 10 km from other amenities at Villeneuve Minervois. It is 24 km north of Carcassonne, with its mediaeval walled city, shops and airport, and 25 km south of Mazamet, famous for its wool trade and markets. The town of Castres is 44 km to the north, with mountain lakes and wonderful scenery, perfect for outdoor sports and activities. To the south, the châteaux Cathars, and the Méditerranean (86 km). Spain is 165 km (less than 2 hours' drive).
