And the town of St Yrieix la Perche, with its wide range of shops and restaurants, station and hospital, is only 20km away.
The nearby towns of Excideuil (16km), Tourtoirac and Hautefort (20km) have places of interest and beautiful châteaux; the one in Excideuil offers cinema evenings in the summer, the Château in Hautefort is a major tourist attraction. Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne and Brive are around 50 minutes.
There are plenty of activities nearby too - golfing at Essendieras 10km), hot air ballooning, kayaking, cycling and beautiful walking paths and tourist destinations such as Sarlat, Montignac and Lasaux are within easy reach.
