The village has a local shop, bakery and pharmacy and for the weekly shop it’s just a 10mn drive to Plaisir. For some history, you are only 20 minutes from the extraordinary architectural heritage sites of Versailles and Saint Germain en Laye.

Schools: In Chavenay itself there are: 2 crèches, 1 public nursery and primary school (180 children in total). Public secondary school is at Collège Jean Monnet in Feucherolles (7 min drive) and Lycée Sonia Delaunay in Villepreux (also 7 min drive). Many children from Chavenay attend French or International private schools in Saint Germain en Laye or Versailles and are well served by school buses.
