The Area:

Chantemerle is one of the main villages in the Serre Chevalier Valley ski domain. It lies in the middle of the vast larch forest that shelters the lower slopes of this relatively unknown ski-resort which has over 250 kms of pistes making it the 4th largest in France.

The village has maintained a mountain charm that is felt in the ancient architecture and the friendliness of the local community. The valley is also a popular summer destination, attracting white water enthusiasts, downhill mountain bikers and of course the road bike fanatics who come here to challenge themselves against the numerous cols made famous by the Tour de France.
