Saint-Hilaire-sur-Benaize is an attractive small Indre village located a few minutes south of Le Blanc, a gateway town to the Parc de la Brenne where there are supermarkets, twice weekly markets of local producers, banks, shops etc. The village is inside the Parc, noted for its lakes and wildlife and protected by the regional Nature Park status from unwanted developments. Larger retail can be found at the cities Chateauroux and Poitiers, which also offer fast rail links and at Poitiers, international flights. The region is also served by the airports at Tours and Limoges.
