The living accommodation comprises an entrance hall on the ground floor (approx. 11m²) which has doors at both ends as well as an internal door to the shop space (approx. 32m²) with windows front and rear and two garages accessed from the street.
Stairs from the hall lead up to a good-sized, bright landing (approx.13m²) with a glazed door to an outside, stone staircase leading down into the beautiful courtyard. Off the landing is a gorgeous, recently renovated kitchen (approx. 23m²), the full width of the house and with windows at both ends making it a lovely bright and sunny space. Opposite the kitchen door you come into the dining room (approx. 13m²), which has a tiled floor and a marble fireplace. Through a doorway you come into the sitting room (approx. 13.5m²)which is cosy with a wood-burning stove and a window over the street side. A further door leads to another small room which would make an ideal study/office (approx. 7.5m²) or a second sitting room or snug. You can also get back on to the landing directly from the sitting room.
Up again to the second floor which is where you will find the bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom 1 (approx. 16.7 m²) has lovely original floorboards and a marble fireplace; bedroom 2 (approx. 13m²) is the smallest bedroom but still a good sized double and also has gorgeous original floorboards and bedroom 3 (approx. 15m²) which also benefits from these wonderful floorboards. The spacious bathroom (approx. 9m²) is at the other end of the landing (approx. 13m²) and has a large shower, basin and lavatory. Opposite the bathroom is an attic room or store room (approx. 13m²), currently not renovated but with a beautiful arched window over the courtyard at the back of the house and would make another lovely double bedroom.

The private courtyard outside is approximately 115m² and is an enchanting space to garden or just sit enjoying the sunshine and birdsong. At the far end of the courtyard is the barn (approx.40m² footprint) which has planning permission to be converted into extra living accommodation and would make a delightful gîte. One of the garages (approx. 25m²) is under the house and has the possibility to make a utility room to one side. The other garage (approx. footprint. 35m²) has two floors but needs some work and is attached to one side of the house.

The village of L'Isle Jourdain is a popular choice for tourists and the diverse activities on offer here include fishing, water skiing, wakeboarding, canoe/kayaking, tennis, riding, bungee jumping from the magnificent viaduct, tree climbing and there is a giant zip-line which takes you under the viaduct and over the river as well as gorgeous walks. There is a swimming pool in the town, restaurants, cafés and shops all within easy walking distance of the house, and for motor racing enthusiasts, the Val de Vienne circuit at Le Vigeant offers guaranteed thrills as you race around the track for the first time, or attend some of the numerous events which are held there.
