This pretty, traditional style Provencal villa built in the late 1960s is situated just a short stroll from the centre of the bustling village of La Turbie, hidden away in a quiet location and enjoying fabulous sea views as well as the pretty vista of the town itself, with its ochre-coloured Provencal rooftops, beautiful church tower and Le Trophee d’Augustus Roman remains dominating the skyline of the old town. From the terrace the domes adorning the legendary Casino de Monte Carlo are just visible above the tree line below, with the Azur blue of the Mediterranean stretching to the horizon beyond.

Enter the almost hidden private gate at street level and stone steps lead up to the house, as you pass through a pretty and peaceful terraced garden of around 500m2. The house sits comfortably at the top of the land in an elevated position with south facing views, making the garden perfect for Mediterranean plants and shrubs, with the possibility for the addition of a pool. La Turbie is situated directly above Monaco, with direct access to the principality in under 15 minutes, the road into Monaco being famous for a picnic scene with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in the Hitchcock thriller To Catch A Thief (1955). At the opposite end of La Turbie there is an off-ramp from the A8 autoroute, which runs east to Italy and west towards Nice, Nice airport, Cannes and St Tropez. From La Turbie, there is direct access to the National Park of the Grand Corniche (Parc Naturel Departmental de la Grande Corniche) a stunningly beautiful area of park with incredible views of the whole French Riviera from Italy to St Tropez, looking down on Eze, Cap Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice. This can be accessed by car or a footpath from La Turbie, where one can walk all the way to Nice along the clifftops.

Nice Airport is less than 30 minutes to the west of La Turbie, and Ventimiglia (Italy) with its famous market is less than half an hour to the east.

In all, this well positioned, traditional Provencal villa, with its pretty, private gardens and sunny, calm terrace, is perfect for a weekend residence or permanent home, benefitting from the buzz of village life without being disturbed by noise, with great access to the whole of the region.
