Tucked away behind high walls and two, ached, wooden, entrance gates is this charming house. A gravel drive, for three to four cars is protected by a tiled roof. Through the garden gate into the charming garden. Mostly graveled with bedding areas and a few established trees. A children's play area and a tiled TERRACE. In front of you are the properties, to your right is the stunning BELOW GROUND SALT WATER POOL, (10x5), with tiled surround, BBQ area and outside shower. To the right of here is a large BARN, (112 m 2), with double glazed window units and one open side.

To the far right of the house is a, secure, access gate that leads across a pedestrian bridge to the properties private island.

The house can be accessed, to the left side, into the main property or the the right side into the gite area. However the properties are inter joining, with an internal locable door so can be easily used as a large family home.

The regionCognac is your nearest town, just 10 minutes drive where you will find the traditional town, with its cobbled, pedestrian streets, covered market and ancient buildings of the old town. The most famous of the Cognac houses add to the towns rich history. The river Charente runs through the town, where you can take a walk, hire a canoe, take a boat ride or dine overlooking the river in one of the various restaurants catering for all tastes.
It has a stunning square, with bars and restaurants, dating back to the time of Francois the 1st. The public gardens, with amphitheater and mini zoo, hosts the world famous "Blues Passions". During late June or early July where concerts are performed for free, in the streets, and fee paying in the public gardens.
There is a ring road, around the town, preserving its history and ambiance. From this road you can access the out of town shopping areas.
Jarnac, (15 mins drive), offers a relaxed, cafe culture, atmosphere again with daily market, riverside activities, walks and boutique shopping within its cobbled streets.

Angouleme, is a 40 minute drive or quick train ride,with TGV and soon to be LVG allowing access to Paris and beyond in just 1h 35 minutes.

Saintes with its Roman ruins and mini "Arc de triomphe" is 40 minutes away. From here you can continue onto the Atlantic coast, (total travel time from the house of just over an hour). La Rochelle, with its airport and the stunningly beautiful Ile de Ré.
An hour and a half, from the house you will find the "World Heritage City" of Bordeaux with its history, museums, theatre and INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
