The property is in good condition, the lounge is lovely with hand made floor tiles and exposed beams as well as a feature open fireplace, the bedrooms are a good size, the bathrooms fine but most of you would want to put a kitchen in as you may be able to tell from the photos at the moment it consists if a sink and unit and an extractor fan, think of it as being able to put your own stamp on it! The property isn't detached but again you wouldn't want to refer to it as a semi either, more a nice property that just happens to be joined to another by an extremely thick wall. The barn would lend itself nicely to the creation of a gite if required as would one of the other outbuildings. The bread oven also has the well which has a pump and is used solely for watering the garden. The garden is certainly big enough to keep you in veg if that is your thing and there is another outbuilding which could be used as storage or perhaps adapted for use as a garage. The property is conveniently situated in an extremely tranquil location, close to Angles sur L'Anglin nominated as one of France's "Beaux Villages" and is close to other historic towns of the region such as the town of St Savin which has a UNESCO world heritage site ancient romanesque abbey at its heart, Chauvigny, Montmorillon, and is only 50km from Poitiers with its TGV station and autoroute (A10) Paris/Bordeaux and Ryanair served airport. Also within easy reach are the Loire Valley chateaux, La Haute Touche (the largest safari park in France!) and ZooParc de Beauval with its giant pandas classed in the top 15 zoos in the world!!! Whether you feel like exploring the wine growing areas of the Loire or the medieval villages of the area, such as Loches where Joan of Arc met with the King of France or Amboise, the resting place of Leonardo da Vinci there are many things to explore.
