Set in the enchanting Vienne countryside and secluded, but only 4.5 km from the village of Archigny, 7 km from the village of Pleumartin and only 14 km from the popular and touristy spa town of La Roche Posay. For larger towns, Poitiers is about 30 km away and Chatellerault and Chauvigny are both about 20 km.

The windows give you an amazing view over the lake. On this floor there is also a convenient loo(and basin) for you and your guests to use without having to go upstairs.

In front of the mill and between the road and the house is the lake which has a surface area of 15,420m² which is nearly 4 acres. The lake is source-fed and it would be possible to harness electricity from this. There are also plenty of fish in the lake. The rest of the land is flat and behind the mill itself - there is a field of about 4 acres where it would be possible to graze horses or sheep (although this area includes the orchard) and a lovely vegetable patch with mature fruit plants like strawberries and raspberries.

This is a lovely part of the Vienne - rolling countryside with intriguing lanes and villages dotted all over the place. Very easy to get to, it is just under 40km from Poitiers airport, 100 km from Tours airport and 117 km from Limoges airport. If you prefer to drive it is only about 360 km from the western channel ports (St Malo, Caen, etc) and about 615 km from Calais.
