About my area

I am based in the Ille-et-Vilaine region of Brittany, not far from St Malo, Dinan and Combourg. You sometimes forget how lucky you are to call this “home” when others travel here for their holidays. The beautiful coastlines, sandy beaches, picturesque villages (plus larger towns like Rennes) and historical sites are all a short drive away. Going shopping sometimes turns into a unexpected sightseeing tour as you continuously discover hidden gems from chateaux, churches to coastal paths with magnificent views. The lifestyle is easy going and relaxed, the Breton people friendly and offering a warm welcome to all. Taking time to grab a coffee in a local bar or terrace is part of life here and picking up fresh produce from a weekly market or your baguette and croissants from the local boulangerie, are habits you easily adjust to without realising.

About me

Originally from the Netherlands (Amsterdam), I have worked in hospitality for most of my working life, which gave me the opportunity to combine a career and my wish to travel the world. When working in London, my husband and I dreamt of buying a house in France, possibly to run gites, but mainly to escape the hectic lifestyle. Although my husband moved over on a permanent basis, I initially transferred to Jersey with my work doing the weekly Friday evening - Monday morning commute by ferry before joining Leggett. I now take great pleasure in finding other people their ideal property to start their adventure of living the French dream.
