Cannes is a good location for anyone who would like to have everything from glamorous shops to a peaceful mountain hike. Weather in Cannes is beautiful. In Cannes, you have average 300 days of sun in a year. You have ski resorts just bit over one hour drive from Cannes and Nice airport is less than 30 minutes away. During that period in May the town is packed with celebrities and journalist trying to get “the photo of the day”. But still you can find your way to a quiet beach or maybe take a boat to St Marguerite Island (one of the two islands just front of Bay of Cannes) to enjoy a sunny day in nature. What I also enjoy here is walking down from my apartment, buy a fresh croissant and baguette and then eat them on our balcony enjoying the sun. When I have a day off I like to visit another villages on Riviera coast. Everything is close and easy to access by car or with public transportation. close
