There was no question when I did retire, that my wife Jill and I would not come to France and here we are in what we think is one of the most beautiful but unsung regions, the Lot et Garonne. After a while and getting itchy feet I decided that doing nothing didn’t suit me so here I am working with Leggett Immobilier and enjoying it tremendously. Again I find myself working with beautiful things, this time houses some very big some very small, and meeting some really interesting people from around the world. I look forward to meeting you all and hopefully being able to help you through the process of buying your dream home with the backup of the extremely capable team at Leggetts.
After starting my career as an officer in the merchant navy, I was offered the opportunity by a friend to join him in a new venture in the fashion industry and after many years this lead to becoming UK director for Danish Design Group, a danish furniture company and eventually to French antiques. This gave me the opportunity to spend a lot of my time in France and develop the love affair which I still have with the country. The last ten years of my working life were spent at Woburn Abbey working for the Duke of Bedford and I was also lucky enough to have had the opportunity of arranging fine furniture and art exhibitions, in house, London and also at other major venues.View Aquitaine Information Homepage
