My area includes the Haute Vienne and the Charente, with the occasional foray into the Dordogne. It is such a wonderful part of France that ranges from the bustling market towns of Chabanais and St Junien to quiet rural hamlets, where you feel you may just have gone back in time by about 50 years. The area is further enhanced by the Charente lakes, which offer everything from swimming, sailing and canoeing to fishing and bird watching. The country walks and rides are simply magical as every season brings it's own special beauty. With easy access to the UK from Limoges airport, and excellent trains links via Limoges and Angouleme (TVG), it is no wonder this part of France continues to capture the hearts of all those who come.
6 years ago, we took the decision to come to France for a year. Our plan was to renovate the holiday home we had bought a few years earlier and then return to the UK ... but we should have known better. It's fair to say, that this area has a certain "je ne sais quoi" and before we knew it, France had become home. After selling our first house, we took on another renovation project - a place that would become our family home, when our daughter was born. Since then, we have continued to renovate houses (for the thriving long term rental market) and so for me, the step into estate agency has been not only logical, but hugely enjoyable and rewarding.View Limousin Information Homepage
