The area I work for serving clients in the French Alps is around 30-45 mins from Geneva and between city and mountains. In the Aravis Mountains I can do a property search in golf and ski resorts like Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz, and lower down in the rolling hills and valleys there are well positioned small towns well worth considering at the foothills of the mountains like Saint Sixt and Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny. Geneva commuters are now well served by the Leman Express train service into Geneva, Switzerland, so places around Saint-Pierre-en-Faucigny and La-Roche-Sur-Foron in France, at the foot of the mountains, are a great investment for locals and international holiday makers with easy access everywhere for cycling, golf, skiing, trekking and the international airport (Cointrin).
