My area is the Aude Department of the Languedoc Roussillon , which has a truly stunning Mediterrean landscape of garrigue scrubland, cypress and umbrella pines ,olive groves and miles of picture postcard Corbières vineyards and the beautiful Canal Du Midi weaving its way down to the Mediterrean sea . The area is great for the outdoor lifestyle, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, cycling and of course sailing and swimming with over 300 days of sunshine you can enjoy the whole of the Mediterrean coastline with the many huge uncrowded sandy beaches .We are very well placed for easy reach to the Spanish border and the Pyrenees mountains, but also to take trips to Provence and the Cote d’azur. The area has a lot to offer with property prices being very affordable at the moment. We have some of the most beautiful villages in France ,Lagrasse and Minerve which is just over the border in Herault ,the Cather Castles and of course Carcassonne being the jewel. Narbonne is a charming town rich in roman history, with its wonderful Cathedral and its famous indoor food market and the Canal du Robine, flowing through the centre .The very up and coming city of Montpellier is just over an hour’s drive and the region is very well connected with flights to the Uk from Beziers ,Montpellier, Perpignan ,Carcassonne and Toulouse. The TGV runs from Narbonne to Paris in just over 4 hours. Come and explore this beautiful area of the Southern France and find your dream home.
We originally bought a holiday home in the Pays De La Loire region of France in 2001 , the family decided to give the French lifestyle a try for a year to see how we would get on and we have been here ever since ! we realised what a fantastic lifestyle we have and what freedom we can give our three now bilingual children. Having lived in the Loire Valley and Normandy , we have now fulfilled a dream of living in the South of France in the beautiful region of the Aude in the Languedoc Roussillon ,just next to the Canal Du Midi, where the scenery is simply beautiful , I adore French property my background is in sales and customer service ,so this is my ideal job working as a Leggett agent in this fantastic region of Southern France.
