Since 2023, I have been living in France with my family in a large house with two hectares of woodland right in our backyard. It is something we could only dream of when we lived in the Netherlands.
Our two daughters are very happy to have the space for all the animals we can now keep: dogs, chickens, ducks and rabbits. We love the peaceful lifestyle here, surrounded by nature, and we really enjoy growing our own vegetables in the garden.

At night, it is truly dark here, and on a clear evening you can enjoy an incredible view of the stars. It is a beautiful and peaceful place, with plenty of space to share. Our friends and family love coming here too, so during the summer our home often feels like a little campsite.

We live near Lussac-les-Églises, close to the L’Asse River. Lussac-les-Églises is a small village with a school, bakery, supermarket, pharmacy and a bar/restaurant.
This is a place where we can enjoy the peace and quiet we love, surrounded by beautiful countryside, rivers, lakes and historic buildings. During the summer, there are plenty of larger festivals, celebrations and local markets, while the winter offers smaller community events and activities.

Within an hour, you can reach the larger cities of Poitiers and Limoges, both of which have airports.
