One enters the house to a light hall with a WC and basin off it, and a staircase leads down past a shower room, to the main living area of 73m², with grand roof beams, an exposed stone wall and a great view out onto the terrace. The fitted kitchen, in cream timber, dining area and sitting area by the large open fireplace, have reversible air conditioning, and are overlooked by a mezzanine level where one can also sleep and/or study. There is a large terrace on the south side facing the view to the south.

To one side is the sleeping area, with a large lobby, four charming bedrooms, one with a sleeping mezzanine and a terrace with a beautiful view, one with a stone arch; and a large shower room with two washbasins and an Italian-style walk-in shower. There is a utility room off this space. All this area has underfloor heating.

With a separate entrance from the pretty square above, the annexe has an entrance hall leading past two double bedrooms with fitted cupboards to a living area with fitted kitchen, dining and living areas, and an open fireplace, a mezzanine level and again, a terrace with view of the canal, vineyards and Pyrenees.

There is a shower room with two basins and a WC, and a utility room/store with a bike entrance to the front of the house.

A spiral stair leads down to a lower covered terrace and a workshop, and a gravelled area with a tree for shade. The pool area is gorgeous, with palm trees and oleanders, and more terraces lead past the 7 by 4m pool and its attached paddling pool to a lawn with olive, lilac, agaves, barbary figs, wild plum, lemon, oleander, fig and rose trees.

Further down towards the canal are more trees and green spaces, shady areas with help from the stream coming from La Fontaine Fraiche above, to give a little cool in the summer.

There is an épicerie/restaurant/cafe and restaurant/snack bar in the village; the cave of the château now opens as a wine bar and has art exhibitions.

The village is 17 km from Narbonne, 36 km from Béziers, 42 km from Carcassonne, 35 km from the sea, 5 km from Ginestas, 9km from Lézignan and 11km from Olonzac, and 115 km from Spain (an hour and a quarter).
