Major shopping is found at the historic city of Poitiers.

Outdoor sports, and wildlife-based activities are available year-round in the Brenne Nature park, known for its diverse flora and fauna, 4000+ lakes and ponds and also the country's best goat's cheese. There are plenty of country hikes from the village and along the nearby Benaize river.
Flights to the UK and Europe are from Poitiers, Limoges and Tours airports, all nearby. A fast train service to Paris and the south is available from Poitiers.
