Briancon Old Town is one of the unknown wonders of the French Alps.
The towns history dates back nearly a thousand years and was developed as a fortress town in the late 1700's. It shares it's name with the famous military architect Vauban who created towing ramparts and tunnels which defended the town for hundreds of years.
Serre Chevalier is the only ski resort in the world that has a historic city at the foot of it's slopes.
Briancon is just 125 kms ( 1 hr 20 ) from Turin International Airport.
