The overall aim was to produce a traditional mountain chalet in a modern and luxurious way. The plans were well conceived by a local architect and the chalet has lots of special touches, reproducing the spirit of mountain living through the interior decor in an up to date and fresh way. Excitingly an interior designer oversaw the final finish, making sure that the desired quality and feel is achieved throughout.

As you approach the chalet you will be able to automatically open the doors to your double garage or park outside. You can enter from either the garage into the ski room or from outside into a hall which has enclosed hanging space and separate WC. On this floor is the ski room, laundry and wine store. In addition a light, airy spacious spa with jaccuzzi and sauna is located here.

On the first floor is the main living area with a central, open fireplace between the dining and lounge area. The lounge embraces the incredible views across the valley and on up to the Vallée des encombres which is equally spectacular in summer and winter, at night time the twinkling lights of the distant villages are also worth admiring. From the lounge walk onto your large sunny terrace which offers plenty of room for dinning al fresco. The kitchen will be fitted with SMEG appliances and, whilst open to the lounge, is enclosed enough to be a separate space. Also on this floor is a large en-suite with a high sloping beamed ceiling, south west views and a separate balcony.

On the top floor is a small open office (or to be used as required) along with 3 further en-suite bedrooms all of a good size. There is also a balcony which can be accessed from the office. In bedroom four, which has been designed with an open bath area, the bath will be raised to window height so you can soak in your bath and enjoy the views.

St Martin de Belleville is a genuine mountain village as well as a ski resort and has several bars and good restaurants, including La Bouitte - a 2 star Michelin Restaurant. It is a beautiful place to visit or live throughout the year with enough year round residents to prevent it feeling like a ghost town out of season. The winter ski season lasts from mid-December to the end of April although Val Thorens, at the top of the Belleville valley, usually opens from mid-November to early-May with skiing up to 3,200m, giving keen skiers the possibility to cram in a few extra “long weekends”. In addition there is a low key summer season over July and August during which there are many mountain activities available. This beautiful area is very popular with walkers and nature lovers.

Overall the ski chalet has been finished to a very high standard, is exceptionally well positioned, with great views and loads of sunshine and offers a superb, luxury base for skiers and mountain lovers alike.

Parking and access: Roads are kept open throughout winter, the chalet has its own double garage.

Travel and Transfers
Nearest international airports: Chambery is approx 1.15 hours away with Geneva/Lyon/Grenoble all approx 2 hours away.
To drive: From the channel ports it takes approx 9 hours on the autoroutes to the foot of the mountains. Then the climb up to St Martin takes about 15-20mins, more on transfer days.
By train: The Eurostar and snow train arrive in Moutiers station at the foot of the mountains
