If renovation is your dream, but you're not quite sure about tackling the big stuff, then this could be your ideal property.
This cottage has been re-roofed, double glazed, has a new septic tank and benefits from a large single storey extension giving useful extra living accommodation and a garage. However, although virtually habitable, with a WC on the first floor and the bedrooms are finished, the kitchen and bathroom still need to be fitted out, giving you a real opportunity to complete it to your own taste. This property is at a very realistic price taking into account all the main work that has already been done.
The house comprises:
Ground floor - lounge (5m x 6m) with fireplace and window to the rear and French windows to the front, new oak staircase to first floor, exposed beams, separate dining room (5m x 4.5m) with window to front and rear with exposed beams, kitchen (5.5m x 5m) with all plumbing and electrics already in place for you ready to install your own units, which also currently houses the hot water tank and the pressurisation tank for the well water, and window to the rear, off of this are two further rooms, which are currently just block walls but have been planned to make a bathroom (3.5m x 2.5m) and utility room (5m x 3.5m), both of these rooms already have plumbing and have electrics in place.
On the first floor, there are 2 good sized bedrooms (5m x 4.5m and 5m x 3.5m) with Velux in each room to the rear.
Separate WC.
At the end of the extension, there is a good sized garage - there is the possibility of using this space to make further accommodation by making an access door from the utility space, maybe making into another bedroom if required, as there are already two windows in this garage.
There is a large chicken house/run, a very well maintained vegetable garden, a wood store and lawns which lead out to the meadow area.....so something for everyone!
This house has a pressurised well water supply so there are no huge water bills to be had here!
This charming cottage is situated just 6 minutes from the pretty village of Plevin and just a 10 minute drive from the Nantes Brest Canal. It is surrounded by lovely countryside offering plenty for the walkers and cyclists amongst you. The market town of Rostrenen is just 15 minutes away for your larger shopping needs.
Travel links are excellent with the ferry ports of Roscoff/St Malo and the airports of Brest/Dinard/St Brieuc all within easy reach.

The name of the departments translates as "by the sea" in Breton, and the department's principal town is Saint Brieuc, founded by the Welsh monk Brieuc in 482 AD, with its imposing cathedral. Other towns of interest include Dinan, one of Brittany's finest medieval towns and a major tourist attraction and Guingamp, another town of historic and architectural as well as religious interest. There are many beach resorts and fishing ports. The department boasts six "petites cites de caractère" including Jugon les Lacs, an ancient fortress town surrounded by rivers and lakes.
The department is the least populated department in Brittany and so there is a real feeling of space - if you want to escape the rat race and enjoy the peace and quiet of rural France, the Côtes d'Armor is ideal. There is a great diversity of rural pursuits, lovely beaches with many leisure activities, along with stunning coastlines and dramatic inland landscapes. The coastline is dotted with lighthouses and is characterized by rocky coves and tidal inlets, and inland paths lead to ruined castles, fantastic forests and farm properties built in pink, grey and black stone.
Scattered with beautiful manor houses and chateaux, the department offers some fascinating architecture, with many attractive granite-faced properties. The property for sale is this part of France still represent very good value compared to other regions of the country.
