Gillian Anderson Independent Agent, says :
This charming Brittany property sits in quiet tranquillity and within 2 minutes drive to the village. A character cottage hewn from Brittany stone and granite, semi-detached to a matching cottage equally well looked after. With 1 bedroom, well presented kitchen/diner, bathroom, another stone building and spacious garden….

Spacious living room with corner kitchen, granite open fireplace with stairs leading to the first floor bed room and shower room.
Nicely decorated and modernised through-out whilst retaining the classic Breton features.
There is a lovely, private garden that comes with this cottage. Very much like the ‘secret’ garden it is reached through an old stone doorway opening out to where the vendors have a swimming/splash pool and leading into secluded open lawned area.
Another quaint surprise is a further stone building currently used for storage.
The village is thriving, central to Combourg, Fougeres, Rennes, Mont Saint Michel, Saint-Malo with superb activities all around. A few minutes drive is an immense lake which offers all sorts of water-sports; catermarans, canoeing, wind-surfing, forest, coast, leisure walks. Superb shopping in local towns. Schools and services nearby.
The location is popular with its easy access to both Dinard and Rennes airports being approx 45 mins drive, the sea ports of St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg, just 15 mins you reach the A84 motorway.

Brittany's historic capital, 2,000 year-old Rennes, which lies at the confluence of the Ille et Vilaine rivers, is one of the departments four "Art Towns", the others being Fougères, Saint-Malo and Vitré. Rennes has a population of around 220,000 inhabitants and attracts a large mobile population, mainly because of the university and many business that have established in the area.
Whilst the department is the most densely-populated in Brittany, by contrast it has the youngest population, averaging under 37 years of age. Other towns and places of interest include Redon, at the confluence of Brittany's two largest rivers, the Oust and the Vilaine, and Dinard, one of Europe's finest seaside resorts. The coastal towns of Saint Malo and Dinard and the areas inland of the coast are very popular with homebuyers because of the attractive coastline, generally mild climate, great infrastructure and ease of access back to the UK and Northern Europe. From Rennes airport one can fly direct to Exeter, Southampton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin, and Dinard airport, although smaller, offers flights to Guernsey and London. St Malo port offers cross channel ferry access to Poole, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Jersey and Guernsey.
It is a department rich in historic and religious monuments, remarkable medieval cities and natural history with numerous museums and theatres. Its' proximity to the coast attracts a large number of tourists to the area, which is good news for those looking to set up a tourist-related business such as chambre d'hôtes or gîtes.
