This house is right at the centre of one of the area's most delightful villages which has lots of great little shops and a weekly market. It offers generous accommodation with 4 bedrooms and has been refurbished. Nearby towns include Lamballe, Moncontour, Dinan, Loudéac and St Brieuc with lots of activities to offer. Use this as a base for exploring the area and some fantastic holidays or get your foot on the property ladder with this affordable, straightforward rental.
The house has been extensively upgraded, had new windows and is on mains drainage so no costs to budget for in those areas. Downstairs there is a 30m² L shaped open plan living area with corner kitchen. There is a WC with wash hand basin and useful utility area off. A rear door leads to a very tiny outside space and further utility/store. An attractive wooden staircase leads to the first and second floors where there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor. The interior is well maintained with most rooms having nice wooden floors, modern electric radiators, uPVC double glazed windows and a clean, fresh finish.
There is lots to explore on foot or bicycle in the surrounding countryside and the roads are a joy to drive with no traffic jams or hold ups. When you feel you want to go further afield, the beautiful medieval towns of Moncontour (15mins), Lamballe (25mins) and Dinan (50 mins) are a delight to explore. Lake de Guerladen, spectacular with canoe and motor boat hire is just 40 mins away and Brittany's stunning coast with miles of clean sandy beaches and safe swimming is just 30mins. About an hour away are the ferries of St Malo which arrive from Portsmouth, Poole and the Channel Islands or Dinard airport with its regular RyanAir flights from various parts of the UK. If that's not enough, in easy reach are Roscoff, Brest, Rennes, Nantes, Caen and Cherbourg with a variety of ferries and flights from all over the UK and southern Ireland; there are also TGV stations at Rennes, St Brieuc and more locally.

The name of the departments translates as "by the sea" in Breton, and the department's principal town is Saint Brieuc, founded by the Welsh monk Brieuc in 482 AD, with its imposing cathedral. Other towns of interest include Dinan, one of Brittany's finest medieval towns and a major tourist attraction and Guingamp, another town of historic and architectural as well as religious interest. There are many beach resorts and fishing ports. The department boasts six "petites cites de caractère" including Jugon les Lacs, an ancient fortress town surrounded by rivers and lakes.
The department is the least populated department in Brittany and so there is a real feeling of space - if you want to escape the rat race and enjoy the peace and quiet of rural France, the Côtes d'Armor is ideal. There is a great diversity of rural pursuits, lovely beaches with many leisure activities, along with stunning coastlines and dramatic inland landscapes. The coastline is dotted with lighthouses and is characterized by rocky coves and tidal inlets, and inland paths lead to ruined castles, fantastic forests and farm properties built in pink, grey and black stone.
Scattered with beautiful manor houses and chateaux, the department offers some fascinating architecture, with many attractive granite-faced properties. The property for sale is this part of France still represent very good value compared to other regions of the country.
