A spacious four bedroomed house in the centre of a sleepy north Breton village. You enter the house into the spacious living area with an amazing feature fireplace in granite. At the back of the living room is the fully fitted kitchen area with oak units, belfast sink, integral appliances, tiled floor and solid wood worktops. There is a back door here leading to the barn, decked terrace and garden. Adjacent to the living room, there is a good sized dining space with French doors to the front where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Off the dining room there is a vestibule that leads to the staircase with a WC and a large storage cupboard. Then we go through a door to the tower with a spiral granite staircase. There are small openings in the wall as you climb the stairs, that make you feel like you are in your own castle. On the first floor, the master bedroom is huge with solid wood flooring and another stunning granite fireplace. There is another double bedroom on this floor and a spacious shower room. Following the stairs up, we reach the second floor that has been recently been converted by the current owners. There are two good sized, but quirkily shaped bedrooms up in this newly converted attic space and another large bathroom with tiled floor. There is a separate tank for hot water up here. The landing area is large with laminate flooring, topping off a unique house in a superb spot.
Outside there is a large garage that has electricity with two other outbuildings that make great storage. The garden is mature with a lawned area, some shrubs and trees, making it very private. It offers wonderful space for a house in a village. Just outside the back door there is a decked terrace, perfect for alfresco summer dining. Then there is also side access to the back of the house, with room to park a car. Out the front, there is the additional area that can take a table and chairs as well as a dedicated parking place in the square.
The house is ideally situated not far from Louvigne du Desert and St Hilaire du Harcouet on the Brittany Normandy border. The major ferry ports of St. Malo, Cherbourg and Caen are within two hours drive of the house. The airports of Dinard and Rennes are also an hour and a half away by car.

Brittany's historic capital, 2,000 year-old Rennes, which lies at the confluence of the Ille et Vilaine rivers, is one of the departments four "Art Towns", the others being Fougères, Saint-Malo and Vitré. Rennes has a population of around 220,000 inhabitants and attracts a large mobile population, mainly because of the university and many business that have established in the area.
Whilst the department is the most densely-populated in Brittany, by contrast it has the youngest population, averaging under 37 years of age. Other towns and places of interest include Redon, at the confluence of Brittany's two largest rivers, the Oust and the Vilaine, and Dinard, one of Europe's finest seaside resorts. The coastal towns of Saint Malo and Dinard and the areas inland of the coast are very popular with homebuyers because of the attractive coastline, generally mild climate, great infrastructure and ease of access back to the UK and Northern Europe. From Rennes airport one can fly direct to Exeter, Southampton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin, and Dinard airport, although smaller, offers flights to Guernsey and London. St Malo port offers cross channel ferry access to Poole, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Jersey and Guernsey.
It is a department rich in historic and religious monuments, remarkable medieval cities and natural history with numerous museums and theatres. Its' proximity to the coast attracts a large number of tourists to the area, which is good news for those looking to set up a tourist-related business such as chambre d'hôtes or gîtes.
