WHY BUY THIS HOUSE?
It offers a very high standard of family accommodation for a very reasonable price.
Its size & facilities make it suitable also as a commercial premises e.g. as a B&B or as a house & office for a self-employed home worker.
It could command a sizeable income if let out as a holiday rental.
I am selective about the properties I put on my books, choosing only to advertise properties, which I genuinely feel are both appealing, and appropriately priced.
LOIRE-ATLANTIQUE
This property is situated in Loire-Atlantique, on the border of the Morbihan, the Southern most département of Brittany. It is actually located in Saint Molf, just East of Piriac-sur-Mer, & easily accessible to the coastal resorts of Quimiac, La Turballe, Pont Mahé, Billiers and Penéstin. A short drive will lead you to the charming, mediaeval port of Vannes, whereas the vibrant city of Nantes is less than an hour away, also in Western Loire. The surrounding area has a smattering of market towns full of character, which are popular with tourists. Saint Lyphard, La Baule, Guérande, Herbignac and Assérac are close by. This is a popular investment area, and the area where the French choose to come on holiday. This region enjoys a warmer climate than the North coast of Brittany. It offers a dramatic, rugged coastline, long sandy beaches; both tourist hot spots and secluded bays, plus the inland delights of its many pretty villages. Sailing, golf, and equestrian sports are available in the local area.
Loire-Atlantique is located far enough away from the UK to really feel ‘abroad’ but is close enough to offer the security of knowing family & friends are not too far away at all. Possibly the best-served area of France for travel links. This is one of the few areas accessible via ferry or airplane. You will be able to access your home in Loire-Atlantique by air from North & South England, Wales & Ireland via budget airlines. Air Travel possible from Nantes – Dublin, Shannon, Cork, East Midlands, Stansted. Flights from Brest – Luton. Flights from Brest – Manchester, Exeter, Birmingham, Southampton. Flights from Rennes – Belfast, Dublin, Exeter, Manchester, Southampton. By Sea: Plymouth – Roscoff, Poole – Cherbourg, Portsmouth - Cherbourg, Caen & St. Malo, Dover – Calais, Portsmouth – Le Havre. The area also has excellent TGV links to Paris, and the UK.

Loire-Atlantique is part of the current region of Pays-de-la-Loire and is surrounded by the departments of Morbihan, Ile-et-Vilaine, Maine-et-Loire, and Vendée with the Atlantic on the west. It is a particularly scenic region, with some 30 miles of the Jade Coast.
The area was originally part of Brittany, and contains what many people still consider to be Brittany's capital, Nantes. This department was separated from Brittany in 1941 by the German occupation.
Although Saint Nazaire is a major commercial port, Nantes, the regional capital, offers visitors a cultural heritage dominated by Gothic art and the Renaissance. Nantes is a large, bustling town, home to the most important gallery of paintings in France after the Louvre. Its impressive château des ducs de Bretagne is well worth a visit, as is the passage Pommeraye, a sumptuous and fantastical 19th-century shopping arcade. It claims to be the most rapidly developing city in France, with France's largest refinery and the country's fourth largest port, a major university and modern industries such as electronics and aviation. Nantes Airport offers flights back to London Stansted, East Midlands and Dublin.
Other places of interest are Pornic, a fishing village that has become popular as a seaside resort, once frequented by Auguste Renoir and Gustave Flaubert, and La Baule-Escoublac, a resort created in the 19th century and now just 3 hours from Paris by TGV. Dotted along the beach and inland in the forests, you will find stunning apartments and villas just seconds from the sea or overlooking stunning marinas.
