This house is a beauty and at 56 metres long, it is huge. Lovingly restored by the current owners, you do not have to lift a finger. However, if you want to make your mark there is a large attached barn that begging to be converted and a separate stone outbuilding that could make a great gite. You can enter the house into the kitchen/diner or through the front door into the living room. At over 35 m2 the kitchen is very spacious and airy. The kitchen is fully fitted with shaker style units and integrated appliances. Benefitting from a stone fireplace with woodburner, this kitchen makes a great living/eating/entertaining space. There is also access to the barn from here. Leaving the kitchen there is a downstairs WC and staircase leading to a huge bedroom with solid oak flooring and ensuite shower room. There are tiles or laminate flooring throughout downstairs. The house also has double glazing throughout and oil fired central heating. Heading down the building from the kitchen, we enter the magnificent double height living area with feature fireplace at one end and a woodburner at the other. Off here, there are two double bedrooms with doors leading to the outside, ideal for disabled access and a newly fitted family bathroom with corner bath. Each part of this house could be separated to make individual living areas if you are thinking of rental or B&B business opportunities. At the end of the house, there is an entire self contained guest annex that has tons of potential to be used as a self contained gite. This can again be separated from the main house with its own individual entrance. The living/dining/kitchen area is large and light with fitted kitchen units and another woodburner. Upstairs the bed room is enormous with exposed beams and windows both sides. It could easily be partitioned. This bedroom again has oak flooring and a roomy ensuite shower room. There is also a large storage cupboard/walk in wardrobe. The finish and attention to detail is exceptional. Outside the grounds are private and laid mostly to lawn, with multiple fruit trees, parking for several cars and two accesses. This spectacular house must be seen to appreciate the space.
Close to Fougeres, Mont St Michel and St James, you are near to the coast, yet in the middle of breathtaking countryside. Rennes and Dinard airports are within an hour's drive. The ferry ports of St. Malo, Cherbourg and Caen are also easily accessible.

Brittany's historic capital, 2,000 year-old Rennes, which lies at the confluence of the Ille et Vilaine rivers, is one of the departments four "Art Towns", the others being Fougères, Saint-Malo and Vitré. Rennes has a population of around 220,000 inhabitants and attracts a large mobile population, mainly because of the university and many business that have established in the area.
Whilst the department is the most densely-populated in Brittany, by contrast it has the youngest population, averaging under 37 years of age. Other towns and places of interest include Redon, at the confluence of Brittany's two largest rivers, the Oust and the Vilaine, and Dinard, one of Europe's finest seaside resorts. The coastal towns of Saint Malo and Dinard and the areas inland of the coast are very popular with homebuyers because of the attractive coastline, generally mild climate, great infrastructure and ease of access back to the UK and Northern Europe. From Rennes airport one can fly direct to Exeter, Southampton, Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin, and Dinard airport, although smaller, offers flights to Guernsey and London. St Malo port offers cross channel ferry access to Poole, Portsmouth, Weymouth, Jersey and Guernsey.
It is a department rich in historic and religious monuments, remarkable medieval cities and natural history with numerous museums and theatres. Its' proximity to the coast attracts a large number of tourists to the area, which is good news for those looking to set up a tourist-related business such as chambre d'hôtes or gîtes.
