Claire Edwards Independent Agent, says :
This wonderful property lies in the heart of a charming medieval village. The property consists of three buildings: a 15th century square tower, built on foundations dating back to the 13th century, a 18th century house and a central staircase uniting both. The square tower has been partially and the ground floor of the house has been completely restored with precision and attention to authenticity. This property would be suitable for division into two autonomous residence. There is also a barn whose roof is new, a garden (with architectural elements of the 17th century), a courtyard and three cellars

The 15th-century tower awaits interior renovation (plaster, paintings and seals) but the main work has been completed: mullioned windows, stained glass, stone coatings, roof redone:
Ground floor, 1 room 50m² with fireplace.
1st floor, 2 room 50m² with fireplace.
2nd floor, 3 room 20m².
Attic 108m² with wonderful beamed ceiling.
Vaulted cellar 45m².
The 18th-century house
Ground floor fully restored: a large reception room with kitchen (36m²), Louis XV sitting room (20m²), wide corridor (approx 15m²), bedroom 1 (11m²), utility room with shower, WC and boiler room (about 15m²).
First floor to finish renovating (plaster and / or painting) with electricity and heating bedroom 2 (40m²), bedroom 3 (30m²), bedroom 4 (10m²).
Vaulted cellar 25m².
The two parts are connected by a building with a 17th century stone staircase.
Outside, garden, courtyard and barn with new roof (70m²).
This is a beautiful mansion in a charming, peaceful village. The ground floor of the house has been completely refurbished and all main work on the first floor of the house has been completed with just plastering and decoration remaining. This part has oil fired central heating. The tower could be used independently, this building has heaps of original architectural elements (fireplaces, stone or wooden floors, stairs ...), all the main renovation work has been completed and just the interior renovation remains (paint, plaster and joint.
Currently there is about 160m² of restored living space and once all remaining work is completed, there is a potential 400m². The property has a courtyard and a garden with 17th century architectural elements over a vaulted cellar. There is also a barn of 70m² for which the roof has been redone. There is also mains drainage.
Here you have the opportunity to continue the restoration work which is already well advanced, especially carefully conducted under the guidance of the departmental service of architecture and heritage. The property is located in one of the most beautiful villages of France with restaurants, schools and shops. The airport of Brive is at 30 minutes and that of Limoges is at an hour and a quarter.

Correze is situated on the western edge of the Massif Central and contains some of the prettiest villages in France. Agriculture is still the main economy with arable land making up around one third of the department. There are two main rivers cutting through the landscape, the Vezere and the Dordogne. The latter has been tamed by a total of five dams producing a number of large lakes in the south.
Tulle, with a population of 15500, is the departmental capital. It's found stretched out over 3 km on both banks of the River Correze. There's a vibrant market held every Wednesday in front of the Gothic and Romanesque Cathedral, which sells lace, clothes and an extensive selection of local produce.
Brive-la-Gaillarde with a population of around 52,000 is the largest town in the department and has an attractive city centre as well as an excellent infrastructure.
Correze has a number of villages classified as "the most beautiful in France". Collonges la Rouge with its bright red sandstone houses is one of them. It is adorned with flowers and surrounded by a lush green landscape. There's a half-Romanesque church in the centre, which was once used by pilgrims stopping off on their way to Compostela. Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne is one of the most attractive medieval villages in France. Finally, Treignac is one of the largest villages on the list. It is very lively and has much on offer.
Limoges and Rodez airport have regular flights back to the UK, the A20 and A89 which run through the department offer great access both North/South and West/East, and the TGV currently runs to Limoges and in the future to Brive la Gaillarde.
