Heather Byrne Independent Agent, says :
When you arrive at the chalet it deceives you, it looks petite, cosy and cute – and the last two it undoubtedly is but it is certainly not small - go through and you find yourself in a spacious, well conceived ski chalet with the most amazing views. You enter into a hall on the first floor off which is a well decorated bathroom, wc and cupboard space. Immediately in front of you are the stairs up to the mezzanine which is currently used as music and reading room and a spare bedroom when guests come to stay. Look down onto the superb chimney and comfy seating area. From there you have a dining area which overlooks the balcony, also large enough to dine on and what a back drop – you can see for miles. Mountain ranges, both distant and local with a huge range of colours and shape depending on the time of year, season, day – a truly spectacular vista and you only need turn you head to enjoy it!
The kitchen is charming, beautifully decorated, fully equipped and well thought out whilst also being practical - as is the entire chalet,
Moving downstairs to the garden floor; you have a spacious corridor with storage and tables, giving the whole place a rather gracious feel. Off here are two really nice bedrooms, one twin and one double. Both have dressing areas, both are very roomy and both are very well decorated with stunning views again.
The garden has wood storage, surrounds the house and there is plenty of room for flowers and some vegetables. There is a shed at the front of the house and because there is outside space on all sides you can find the sun whatever time of day it is.
On the ground floor you have a fully tiled and insulated but under-utilised area of about 70m2; it would be easy to develop this as there is plumbing here for the laundry and a window at the front.
At the moment it is used as a laundry room plus there are two further small rooms used for storage and a wine cave.
The chalet has underfloor heating and an open chimney and is extremely toasty.
Whilst the chalet is in the popular village that you can ski back to and is just 5 mins from St Martin de Belleville it is very private and tranquil. This is a great all year round location, skiing in winter and wonderful summer activities surround it. Aside of walking and cycling which you’d do from your door, there are all the mountain activities that you’d expect from this area a few minutes away, such as parapenting, fishing, mountain bike trials, cooking courses, art exhibitions and courses, musical concerts which take place all year round. A wonderful holiday home whatever the season.
