New carpeting in the hallway and living area, some new kitchen units,some refreshment of the bathroom and renovating the balcony have all been done making this an even better value ski accommodation.
An ideal base for a keen skiing couple or a small family. Residence 3000 is,in my opinion,the best location in Plagne Bellecote as it is on the edge of the village in a quieter location,an easy walk to all the shops,bars and restaurants and,most importantly, you can ski down to all the lifts and back to the front door of the residence. The residence itself has benefitted from refurbishment of the communal areas and new lifts have been installed. All of high altitude La Plagne is on your doorstep. With a balcony as well ,offering views up towards Belle Plagne, what more could you ask for at such a great value price.
Situated on the third floor and accessed by lift the accommodation is as follows.
There is a small entrance hallway; off this, and to the left, is a separate WC and a nicely tiled bathroom (tiled floor as well) with bath, overhead shower attachment and washbasin. Walking through there is an L shaped lounge/dining area with a sliding partition. This allows the studio to be divided into two separate sleeping areas; currently these both have twin single sofa beds providing beds for 4 people The WC and bathroom can be accessed from both these sleeping areas without having to walk through the other “ bedroom”. There is no reason why bunk beds could not be used to increase the sleeping capacity if necessary. A balcony off the lounge offers views towards Belle Plagne and the Roche de Mio peak. There is a small kitchen, with dishwasher,fridge,mini oven and 3 ring hob, that also has a door onto the balcony.
On the ground floor of the residence there is a ski locker and, very conveniently, a Sport 2000 ski shop as well as a restaurant.
Plagne Bellecote has a very French atmosphere, with an increasing number of UK buyers realising that it offers great value for money. The choice of ski lifts is amazing. Just a short ski from the front door of the residence you have the 8 man Arpette chairlift towards Montchavin-Les Coches and the Vanoise Express link to Les Arcs, the 6 man Blanchets chairlift towards Champagny, the Colosses chairlift to Plagne Centre as well as the Roche de Mio bubble. To access the superb skiing in La Plagne, nowhere is better situated than Plagne Bellecôte.
Bellecote also has a half pipe whilst the boardercross course is just above the village near Belle Plagne.
There is a wide choice of shops, restaurants and bars, the bubble to Belle Plagne runs in the evening and a “Navette” (free shuttle bus) runs every half hour between Plagne Bellecote and Plagne centre.
In summer Bellecote is the busiest of La Plagne’s high altitude villages with playparks for the children and a variety of “animations”. The Roche de Mio bubble and some of the chairlifts operate in the summer season to enable walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers to access the mountains.
Free outside parking is provided outside the village so that the commercial centre is car free; underground parking is available.
Travel Information.
By air; the nearest airports are Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon. Chambery is approx. 1hr 30 mins. by car with Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon around 2 hrs. 30 mins.
By train; the nearest station is Aime approx. 30 mins away by car. There is a direct Eurostar service in the winter season. A regular bus service runs from the station to La Plagne.
Self-drive; it is an approx. 10 hour drive from the channel ports.
