Entre-Deux-Mers, literally "between two seas", but in reality located between two rivers, the Dordogne and the Garonne, which merge in the Gironde, near Bordeaux. A wonderful magical land of rolling vineyards, numerous Châteaux and vibrant medieval villages and towns with Saint-Emilion and Bordeaux (both UNESCO World Heritage) as absolute highlights! The beautiful Atlantic coast and the Bay of Arcachon within reachable distance, as well as the Pyrenees (magic in summer as well as in winter for skiing). The world famous wine culture provides a certain elegance to the region, a "living in the countryside" and not a "farmers life". With this wine culture and the international trade through the centuries the inhabitants are very open and friendly, integration and contacts with the local population is not difficult! Furthermore, the natural presence of good wines and good food during the long meals! A life without stress, traffic jams, where everyone still has time for each other. And of course, the pleasant climate! Lots of sun, no "Mistral" and very short mild winters. Obviously, everyone has raved about his region. Understandable! So me too! But when I hear the reactions of my clients, friends and family, I know, it is really very objective when I say that the region of the Entre-Deux-Mers, is really fantastic and offers everything you expect of your "French Dream" ! LIVING AS GOD IN FRANCE !
In the year 2000 I discovered more or less by chance my region, the "Entre-Deux-Mers". During a visit to Saint-Emilion I was immediately impressed by the beauty. I bought a house, first for spending the holidays. However, after spending some wonderful weeks, returning to the north - Belgium and the Netherlands - became more difficult each time! My love for the region and the French lifestyle was growing every day! And finally I took the step to settle here permanently. Now my life is a little party every day! Long meals with family and friends, good wines and food, no stress and no long traffic jams, and of course the sunshine! My love is still growing! And in my work as a real estate agent all my passions and experience are coming together! Service, commerce and architecture! Always looking for "old stones" in a magnificent surrounding!
