Wonderful opportunity to buy a Château, originally belonging to the Fleury Michon family, with some of the buildings dating back to the 12th-century. It has previously been run as a successful chambre d'hôtes with five lovely bedrooms, all en-suite. Guest facilities included a sitting room, dining room, gym, indoor-swimming pool, tennis court and grounds to enjoy.
The château also includes a two-bedroomed gite; a function room which held regular events including Sunday lunches, afternoon teas, themed dining and business seminars; and in the grounds markets (Christmas and summer), balls and weddings were held throughout the year.

Enter the Château grounds through large metal gates into parkland with many beautiful, mature trees providing shade throughout the long, hot summers of this part of France.
On arrival at the Château you enter through the main door into the entrance hall with old tiled floor and wood panelling. On the right is a gym, leading to the swimming pool, and further on there is a grand sitting room with wooden floors, wood panelled walls and open fire place. On the left is the dining room and the large kitchen.
A curving wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where there are four good-sized bedrooms, all en-suite, and a linen/ironing room. Up to the second floor and there is another bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and the owners’ separate accommodation comprising a sitting room, two bedrooms and a bathroom.
From the second floor there are stairs to the attic rooms where the Château’s servants were housed in bygone days. These rooms are for development but could easily provide another two or three bedrooms for letting purposes.
There is also a cellar.
Within the Château grounds are numerous outbuildings including:
• Large indoor arena (665m2) with nine stables
• Tack room (24m2)
• Two-bedroomed gite
• Two garages (28m2 each)
• Function room (48m2) with open fireplace, previously used for dinners, afternoon teas and business seminars, with an adjacent room (53m2)
• A large vaulted room needing development but could be another amazing function room (48m2)
• An old orangery, dilapidated but ripe for development
• Tool shed (11.4m2)
• Several other workshops, storage rooms and a wood store (23m2)
The grounds include a tennis court, an area for poultry and a private owners’ garden. Next to the Château grounds is a paddock and a further 18 acres are available if desired.
