This house has been split from an adjacent property with recent boundary bornage in place. There is a small garden with a collapsed outbuilding, which if cleared would make a larger outdoor space. There is an old lavoir or wash house in the garden that makes for a cute feature and could well function as a garden shed. There is an old well but as the pump no longer functions, we don’t know if there is water.
With a bit of clever thinking between the barn and the house, this could be very nice and is well located to all amenities at either Bessines-sur-Gartempe or Chateaponsac. The barn is big enough to expand into for additional living space AND to still have a garage.
There are two small rooms on the ground floor, a bedroom and the landing floor on the first floor, and the attic space which would allow one more room and a bathroom.
Mains drains is available to connect to.
The floor joists look ok but we would advise replacing all the floor boards as they show signs of wood worm.
So if you are looking for a project for either a first or second home, this could be ideal.
Quiet road with a farm nearby and a few neighbours.
