House in Arquettes-en-Val , Aude , Languedoc Roussillon

Upon entering the house you are in the kitchen / dining area. To the right is a good sized living room with a wood burning stove. Opposite the front door is a pretty staircase leading to the first level of the house.

On this level is a large bathroom and two bedrooms, one of which has a large mezzanine floor.

The house has a small outdoor area outside the front entry door. It may be possible, with permission from the Mairie, to create a roof terrace on part of the mezzanine floor.

Arquette-en-Val is a village in the Corbieres area. There is no commerce, however there is a van selling meat, cheese etc visiting the village on a weekly basis.

The closest village with commerce is Serviés en Val, a few minutes away by car or an easy pushbike ride. The villages of Lagrasse and Montlaur, are also nearby. Carcassonne, with its medieval cité, railway station and International Airport is 3O minutes by car.
