This house has french windows into the garden from the kitchen, sitting room and dining room and even from the back kitchen which makes it absolutely ideal for the indoor/outdoor lifestyle that we all love. To get into nature you never have to go the long way round - it is just there and so easily accessible from wherever you are in the house

In more detail, let's start in the stunning Schüco conservatory (approx 25m²) with a beautiful view down the garden to the swimming pool. There are doors from here into the sitting room (approx 24m²) with it's gorgeous fireplace and insert woodburner as well as reversible heat pump (DAIKIN), and into the dining room (approx. 27m²), in which the pièce de resisitance is an impressive and truly beautiful 1850's wood-burning stove from Brussells with two rings on top, an oven and even the capacity to heat water! A doorway from the dining room leads through to the kitchen (approx. 21m²) which has a fitted cooking area with hob, oven and sink and a dining area with a Godin wood- burner for heating and cooking in the winter. There is a back kitchen with a cooker with gas hob and electric oven, a double sink and plenty of space for food storage, and space and plumbing for washing machine and tumble drier.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, (approx. 20m², approx. 18m² and approx. 15m²and a bathroom (approx. 17m²) which has two basins and a bath, and a separate loo (approx. 2m²) and a small landing space .

The L- shaped swimming pool (5m x 10m with extra 2.5m for the steps) is one of the few tiled swimming pools in France, so no liner here to replace. The pool was built into the side of the hill and the glazed enclosure has been specially designed for this site. Underneath the pool you have full access to all the pipes and workings, so any leaks would be immediately reparable without having to dig up pipes. The pool-house includes a summer kitchen and a shower with space to eat. The Scandinavian sauna is inside the pool enclosure just to the side of the pool-house.

At the bottom of the garden is a flat area of land where the current owner was planning to put in a tennis court, but never got round to it, so this might be something you would like to do.

The grounds of 5335 m² (just over 1.3 acres) completely surround the house, giving you the freedom to live your life without being overlooked. There are many mature trees, including fruit trees such as cherries and plums and gravel paths around the well-kept lawns. There are three barns (approx: 80m², 83m² and 88m² respectively) which could be converted to provide gîtes, if that is something that interests you.

Very easy access to Poitiers in just 20 minutes, and a lovely countryside walk of twenty minutes into the local village of Verrières which offers all amenities.
