The leisure lake of Rouffiac is only 16km away, where there are great walks, teleski, a large lake complete with beach, and a restaurant during the summer months. And the town of St Yrieix la Perche, with its wide range of shops and restaurants, station and hospital, is only 24km away.
The nearby towns of Tourtoirac and Hautefort (11km) also have places of interest. The Château in Hautefort is a major tourist attraction and the château in Tourtoirac has an annual music festival and the village also has an annual art competition, and an amazing cave. Périgueux, the capital of the Dordogne and Brive are around 50 minutes.
There are plenty of activities nearby too - golfing at Essendieras (4km), hot air ballooning, kayaking, cycling and beautiful walking paths and tourist destinations such as Sarlat, Montignac and Lascaux, world centre of pre-historic cave art, are within easy reach.
