Steeped in history and charm, this 3 storey stone property was apparently once a mini manor house and it still has an air of grandeur about it. Renovated in the last 25 or so years, it now has a large lounge with a gorgeous stone fireplace and a stone staircase, a large kitchen with fireplace potential, 3 large attractive bedrooms, all beams and quirky windows and a bathroom with potential to maybe create another on the top floor. The rooms all have good ceiling heights too and the downstairs rooms have access to the front and the back. As well as the large well-established garden, there is private parking, a herb garden (to be revived), an old wood and tin 'hangar', either for renovation or replacement and there is a small pond too (although not always in the summer!). If that wasn't enough, on one side of the house are two beautiful tall stone walls so there is the potential to let your imagination go wild and create a new space here too - what would you do??? The house is in the commune of St Nicolas du Tertre, near to La Gacilly and Malestroit and is around 5 minutes from the nearest village which has a Post Office and a baguette machine so you can get your warm bread at any time of the day or night. There are plenty of shops and facilities within 15 minutes drive and many leisure and tourist attractions too, in an area that thrives all year round, for example, the rock festival in Malestroit in August, the Photo Festival in La Gacilly June-October, also its Soup Festival in November and it is the home of the Yves Rocher company, try the restaurant or treat yourself at the Eco-Hotel and Spa, plus there are several Christmas Markets including the world-famous lights at Rochefort-en-Terre. All this and only 45 minutes to the coast and under 2 hours to St Malo port and Nantes airport.
The house currently has single-glazed wooden windows, one bathroom and no central heating and you may want to do some other updating so you have the potential for a really stunning property afterwards, hence the current price.
