There is also a leisure centre with two heated swimming pools (one outdoor) and lovely walks and picnic areas down by the river that winds its way through the centre of the town. Restaurants and small family-run cinema nearby. Transport links are second-to-none being approximately 50 km (31 MILES) drive from historical Poitiers and its airport. Poitiers train station has high-speed links to Paris (1h 40 minutes, for onward direct links to London and the rest of Europe), Bordeaux, Angoulême and La Rochelle. Limoges airport is just over 95 km (59 miles) away with several ferry ports also within easy reach.
