The Apartment....

Situated on the second floor of this historic building in the heart of the Old Town is this charming 1 bedroom apartment.
It is accessed from a balcony that overlooks the courtyard and has most of the original features.
Through the large wooden door we enter the main living room / kitchen which has original wooden floor boards and shutters. There is a basic kitchen but room enough for a dining table and sofa. The separate w.c. is adjacent to this room.
The next room is the double bedroom with en suite shower room. There is a door that opens out on the courtyard balcony. The bedroom also has 2 inbuilt cupboards.

This property is authentic and original and is typical of the Old Town classic architecture, dating back over 300 years.

The Area....

Briancon is the highest town in France and is located just 15 kms from the Italian border in the Southern French Alps. It is part of the Serre Chevalier Ski Domain which is one of the largest "stand alone" ski resorts in the country.
The climate here is considered "provencal" with incredible sunshine over the whole of the year.
The town itself provides "normal" living for its 13.000 inhabitants and is also a popular tourist destination throughout the year, not only for the skiing but also countless sports including kayaking, mountaineering, road cycling and mountain biking.
The town has a colourful history being surrounded by alpine fortifications that once protected the famous City Vauban with its cobbled streets and sheer ramparts. It is true to say that there is no other ski resort in the world that has history like this on it's doorstep.

The nearest airport is beside Turin in Italy which is just 120 km ( 1 hr 20 ) away.
