There are frequent buses and trains between les Houches and the other areas in the valley. There are also several shuttle options to and from Geneva airport, which is only an hour away.
Les Houches is known for being host of the Men’s Downhill World Cup and it is a popular start/end for the weeklong hike Tour du Mont Blanc.
Chamonix is a vibrant all-year resort and easy to access. From here you also have several other fantastic areas within half an hour’s reach: Switzerland, Courmayeur Italy, Saint Gervais and Megève just to mention a few.
